Bioconnect Safety (DIN) Pinch Lead
Meeting ANSI/AAMI EC53 specifications and the requirements of DIN 42-802
Color coding indicates the part of the body where leads are attached. AHA/AAMI (American Hospital Association/Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) is used in the U.S., while IEC (International Electro-technical Commission) is used in Europe and other parts of the world. “Standard” indicates the primary configuration used. “Alternate” stands for the secondary configuration.

Pinch
- The Santoprene® insulated pinch/grabber is made with BeCu spring contacts, both in the pinch mechanism and snap contact points.
Strain Relief
- Uniquely designed Santoprene® flex relief extend life expectancy.
Leadwire
- Latex-free urethane insulation is impervious to most cleaning solvents and can be sterilized using most common methods: gamma irradiation and EtO. Conductor is made of Kevlar Tinsel for increased flexibility and minimal discontinuity of signal.
Socket
- Recessed lead wire sockets are molded of Santoprene® over a gold plated 1.5mm BeCu spring contact and meet the requirements of DIN 42-802 and ANSI/AAMI EC53 specifications. The design for this socket has been carefully tuned to provide positive retention in our brand of patient cable meeting AAMI specifications.

- Santoprene® rubber, which is latex free, is compatible with most cleaning solvent and can be sterilized using most common methods: gamma irradiation and EtO.
